BASTILLE // Pompeii at The British Museum
Sooo basically, this has nothing to do with makeup or fashion or anything relevant to this blog really...But I absolutely love this song and this acoustic version is phenomenal so I thought I would share it. :) http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=fvwp&NR=1&v=ifPxWrn17Sw

H&M/ T.J. Maxx
This past weekend I went shopping at H&M and T.J. Maxx and I bought wayyyy too much stuff but these are my favorites out of the lot.
This lovely floral shirt. It's got long sleeves which will be too hot for the summer weather that i'm praying is on it's way but for now it is absolutely perfect. It's really soft cause it's 100% cotton which I don't think it looks like it is, I think it looks like a rough jeans shirt but it isn't! The brand is Fire Los Angles, which I've never actually heard of before now. I also like that it has snap buttons cause I am soooo lazy and can't be bothered to actually button things.
Next is a cute LBD. (Little Black Dress for those of you who don't know) It doesn't have sleeves but it has pretty high neckline which I think is good since it's a bit short. You need to cover up somewhere, right? Haha yes, definitely. It's got the body con shape to it but then it has the peplum over the waist which was the main reason I got it. I love body con dresses cause they are so cute and good to dress up or down but I'm always really self-conscious when wearing one cause I feel like I need to suck in the entire time. Ladies, you know what I'm talking about. Quite honestly it just isn't a very flattering style for anyone with any sort of stomach. Which most normal people have, including me. So the peplum does wonders and covers the perfect area and I no longer have to be uncomfortable while wearing a tight dress! Cheers to that, right!?! (Sorry the picture isn't very good. My camera isn't the best...)
I got this cute brown cross-body satchel. I love bags that are cross-body because I can't stand having to carry something around in my hands if I'm trying to do something like shopping where I need to use my hands for other things! It's just such a hassle so this is the perfect bag for me. It's a great size, probably about a foot deep. It has lots of pockets too. There are two on the outside and three on the inside. The color is brown but it's got an orange tint to it.
Have a great Day! :)

Red Lipstick and Favorite Mascara
I mentioned my M.A.C. Red lipstick in my previous post and thought I should show it to you guys along with the newest additions to my makeup collection and my favorite mascara EVER. Soooo here they are! : )
First is the lipstick. It's called "M.A.C. Red" (A23) and is part of the Satin collection. It goes on so smoothly. It's soft and insanely pigmented. Which is great to have in a red lipstick. All the reviews I have read say it's really long lasting but I haven't had those results. If I eat anything it ends up a gross mess and most all that is left is the liner. Which yes, I understand it's not like a permanent thing but I expected it to hold a bit better than that. I think I need to try some new application tips though and maybe that will help. But the color is great and creamy. It's a nice solid red.
Along with the lipstick I had to buy a lip liner as well to make it look nicer and give it more of a defined line. I bought the lip pencil in Cherry (A13) This has been great. This is the first lip liner I have ever used but it's easy to apply and lasts longer than the lipstick does which is nice as it saves time when re applying. Just a touch up needed here or there. The color is great with the lipstick above and it's just overall a really nice lip liner. I strongly recommend it.
I also wanted to show you guys my absolutely favorite mascara. It's Benefit's Bad Gal Lash. I've been using this for about 3 months maybe and I just fell in love the very first time I used it. It never clumps, it's a great dark black, and it has never flaked off or smudged for me unlike some other mascaras I've tried. I just think it goes on really well and the brush is quite nice. Gives lots of volume to your lashes. It's just overall a really great mascara and it's not insanely expensive at $19.

The next thing I have is a lipstick I got at T.J. Maxx for $2.99!!! Crazy cheap and it's a really nice color. The brand is LiSi and the color is Lucky Strike 06. It is a soft pink and has sort of brown undertones. But when you put it on it's just a soft pink with a bit of sheen. Although it has no glitter or sparkle to it, it ends up very shiny and pearly. Yes I just used pearl as an adjective haha. It's very soft and creamy but it isn't the best when your lips are dry. (which mine are right now as I'm wearing it) It seems to cake up a bit. But im sure if you take the time to moisturize and apply it correctly then it'd be fine.

My next item is Chanel Coco Mademoiselle Eau De Parfum Spray. Not makeup but I thought I'd put it in here anyway...This was given to me by someone and I was super excited about it and all but it really isn't one of my favorite perfumes to be honest. I found it didn't not last very long. I put it on before going to the store and when I came back about 2 hours later I could no longer smell it. Now, maybe I had just gotten used to it but I couldn't smell it one bit so who knows. It is supposed to smell like citrus but I think it smells more like a flower than any fruit haha. It has a nice smell though I've gotten a few compliments while wearing it. I really like the bottle though. It just looks so classic and crisp.

Hello Blogging World!
This is my very first blog post EVER! I'm not quite sure how this site even works really but I'm determined to find out soon. The thought of having a blog of my own is a bit overwhelming. What am I supposed to say? And is anyone going to really be reading this anyway? Who knows? Most likely I will just be entertaining myself with these posts but that is plenty okay with me. I am new to the makeup and fashion world really. I actually just started testing out makeup and such within the last month or so and I am currently all about trying new things. Before this past month I had worn the same eyeliner and mascara look for almost 3 years! Oh my gosh, I can't believe I've been missing out for so long. I'll blame it on the fact that I'm still quite young. But anyway...I bought 'M.A.C. red' lipstick about two weeks ago and I fell in love. That kind of spurred my new makeup obsession.
Fashion on the other hand has been a love of mine ever since I was a little girl. I have always loved to go shopping. I am finally feeling more daring with my choices and trying out new trends though and I'm having a lot more fun with fashion now. I am trying to care less about what everyone else may think about it and just do what makes me happy. I think that this has really changed my style recently. With these new changes though, I don't believe I have a specific "style" yet. I love floral patterns and ruffles and bows. But then I also love skulls, studs, and leather jackets. I have a very wide range but I am probably more towards the girly girl side of things. So, that's a little bit about me and my background with things. Quite a newbie but very excited to learn more. Xx.
